N. E. -Hoovor of the Extract
Company here, whose home is in
Hustontown, according to the
Pal tOD County News, was obliged
to wtfiel John E. Jones of that
town about 1 miles in a wheel
barrow because of Bryan's de

enough exercise to last awhile,
this stunt in addition to the one
he was compelled to fulfil here
in Mount Union. Hoover is a
good fellow and is true to his
Democratic principles. -- Mount

An ice' manufacturing and cold
storage company has been organ
ized in Bedford. The company
proposes to manufacture ice from
filtered and distilled water, thus
making the ice absolutely pure.
The greatest benefit so far as the
county is concerned will be the
cold storage end of the concern,
for ample provisions are being
made for the storing of eggs,
apples, and such other articles
a may be desirable or profitable
to place in storage. The stock is
issued in shares of ."'J each, aud
is taken up by the leading citi
zens of Bedford. An ice plant in
McConnellsburg is a proposition
wortli considering. The supply
from natural sources is some

times happens that it is full of
weeds, mud, to say nothing of
otier things that are not very
conducive, to the health of those
who drink soda water, ice tea.
