Lmcfistor, June -I : A clever new conliileuce game is being worked m Lancaster county, and the operators have found not. a few victims. A well dressed man stops at a farmhouse and declares that he has lost a valuable dia mond pin in the roadway, and all make a search. Nothing is found, but before leaving, the stranger says he will return, and if the pin is found will give a reward of lf0 for its ret urn. A few days later, a tramp turns up with a pin, presumably a diamond, which he says he found. The farmer usually takes the naif, and gets the pin for si'cO or s.", expecting to get ir0 as his reward. After vainly waitiug for the los er he learns from some jeweler that the pin is worthless. M:W CI Kb P0R hl'lUPSY. J. 15.
