Mil ler, of Dublin township, last fall, charging them with illegally call ing turkeys, was taken before Judge Capp, in Harrisburg, cn last Friday, to answer the charge of false pretense preferred by Dr. Kalbfus, the State game com missioner. Husler, it was alleg ed, reported to Dr. Kalbfus of work he did amounting to $100, which Dr. Kalbfus paid over to him. The work reported by Husler, the Doctor found out af terwards, was not performed and Husler was arrested for false pre tense. The case was submitted to the jury and Husler was found guilty. A valuable horse belonging to Mr. AlbertBerkstresser, of Wells township, died at the Fulton House stables on Sunday. The horse was apparently well on Sat urday morning and Mr. Berk stresser started home. After driving a short distance out of town he noticed the horse was sick. He returned at once and sent to Mercersburg for Dr. Brad ley, who came over, but could do nothing and the horse died on Sunday evening.
