Corner. Possession the first of

Miss Jessie Wishart, of U. S.
Pension oftice, Pittsburg, is
spending her vacation with her
parents, Dr. and Mrs. H. S. Wish
art, on East Water street, this
place.
After a very enjoyable outirjg
at Atlantic City, and visit among
friends In Cham bersburg and at
Funkstown, Md., Mrs. S. M.
Cook returned to her home in this
place last week, greatly benefited
by the recreation.

Jury Commissioners Simon

a company to investigate and de
velop the minora' resources of
this county.
Twenty five hundred of the pro
posed $10,000 worth of stock was
soon subscrioed, and a company
was organized by the election of
the following officers : J. Nelson
Sipes, president; Chas. E Barton
vice presidont; Frank P. Lynch,
secretary; W. H. Nelson, treasur
er. Directors : W. H. Nelson,
1). II. Patterson, FiankP. Lynch,
D. L. Grissinger, Geo. B. Dauiels.
The company will atonco make
application for a charter undor
the name ol the "Fulton Develop
ment Company" and will thou pro
ceed to put a diamond drill at
work and find out to their own sat
isfaction whether or not all the
encouraging signs of valuable
minerals in "Little Fulton" count
for naught.
Expert mineralogist s have told

company to bring thorn to light.

of John Hoover.

held in the grove on Tuesday of

ing had a very enjoyable time,

A number of our young fdlks

the home of Scott Kugarice. Last
Friday afternoon Mr. Kegarice
aud John liauu captured a wild
bee and secured about sixty
pounds of nice honey. Some of
it went to McConnellsburg.
Last Sunday evening a big rain
storm accompanied with hail and
heavy thunder, passed over this
section.

Colonel John M. Fuller, of Hon
ey Grove, Texas, nearly met his
