Their number is grad ttlly decreasing, and wo could not help but notice that time has changed their quick step with the drum. They were fortunate in securing as orators, Hev. Ash und Hon. S. W. Kirk, who did justice to the occasion. W. L. Woodcock, Ksq., of AI toona, who happened to bo in the Valley on business, was asked to say a word to his old comrades and acquaintances, lie cheerfully responded, and we were all deligt ed to again hear one of our boys. The music was appropriate, and enjoyed by all. S. 1 Wishart attended the com mencement of the Kvcrctt High School. Mr. Kverett Swigert, of Hunt, mgdon, visited Dorsey and Will liarnet from Saturday until Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Kdward Bobband their sons Ralph and Chester- of Koaring Springs visited in our town Saturday night enroute froin Mercersburg, where the eldest son graduated during the past week. W. A. Johnston, of Streator, 111., is visiting his sister Mrs. W. ,11. Ikumgardner. Mrs. Johnston is in Philadelphia visiting her brother Charles Grissinger, one of the graduating class in dentistry. She will come from there to Wells Valley. Mac Stunkard returned home Saturday from The ISliss Electric School, of Washington, 1). C, with a diploma that no boy can secure without much mental labor. His many friends congratulate him on his success. He has secured a position in Altoona, and will make use of his profession at once. Miss Margaret (taster, of Al toona, is visiting her sister Mrs. Mary Harmon. Children's Day will be observed by our different Sunday Schools. The management of this convention is very solicitous that it may be a great spiritual uplift to all who may participate in word, in song, or in prayer. 2. Let every school send a large delegation at least, two delegates. 3. Plan to be here. UK here ! Get your friends to come, and help to arouse a greater interest in Sunday School work. 4. See that your statistical report has been sent to M. R. Shaffner, Mc Connellsburg, with your ottering of one dollar or more. This money is used for county convention expenses and state and international work. 5. If possible, write to the chairman of tho entertainment committee, Mrs. C. B. Stevens, McConnellsburg, who will provide entertainment for all in attendance. ti. Let us make this convention a clearing house of good things in Sab bath school work. Unger last Friday in honor of their sou Edward, who was ten years old; and, also, the birthday ot Mrs. Mock, who was present. There were eighteen people pres ent. After spending the after noon very pleasantly until five o'clock, the bell rang for supper. The table was placed under a large tree in the yard. There was cake, ice cream und every thitog that was good on the table, and it was a day that will not be forgotten soof. Sam Mellott is busy hauling bark. James Layton returned to his home last week after having spent the winter in Clearfield. S. C. Layton is visiting his son Edward at Clearfield. Nathan Mellott returned to his home last week after having spent several days with his sons Ver non and Edward of Elsemere, Del., and with Rev. and Mrs. S. L. Baugherof Conshohocken. He reports a tine time. Charlie Decker wears a smile all because a brand new boy has come to his home. Mrs. E. R. Vanclief spent Sat urday alternoon visiting friends at Emmaville. Rev. A. G. J.
