aged 111, and K. L. Dunphyaged
113 of Towsou, Md., were drowned
in the canal about 200 yards west
of Hancock a few days ago. They
had been playing base ball and
becoming very warm went into
the canal to wado around until
they would cool off.. Mr. Dunphy
got beyond his depth and Mr.
Whitesido tried to rescue him:
Neither could swim; both drown
ed. They were ni em bora of one
of the B. & O. engineer corps.
