After a short illness, Mrs. Su sanna Johnson, widow of tho late David Johnson, died at her home in Thompson township Tuesday night, tho 9th hist., aud was bur ied at the Tonoloway Baptist church ou the Friday following. She is survived by seven sons, John F. of Laidig this county ; Luther of Franklin county; Gil bert near Williamsport, Md., and Edward, Joseph, Daniel, aud Emanuel in the West. One son, Dr. M. V. B. Johnsou, and three daughters are dead. The doceased was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church. Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. This is a busy season, as harvesting aud threshiug have begun in earnest, and every man, woman, and child iu the country, is busy. Our farmers, who have anywhere from 100 to 1500 acres of v heat, all getting ripe at once, have something to do to get it cut, md something else to get it threshed.
