In a recent talk to the consta bles Judge White.oflndiaua coun ty, called their attention to the law requiriug supervisors to pick he loose stones from the roads, saying it was very important that his law be enforcod. He also ;K)inted out the fact that a tine of 10 can be recovered from any supervisor who refuses this duty. The first case of this kind was brought In Blair county last week when two supervisors were sued for failiug to remove loose stones from a public road. It would be well for some Fulton county supervisors to heed and comply with the law iu this respect. Potatoes are so plentiful in Kan sas aud Nebraska that they are a :lrug in the market. The annual picuic of the Green Hill Presbyterian Sunday school, Saturday, was a success. Fifty two children surrounded the first table, and it kept the ladies busy supplyingthe numerous demands for "chicken." More than one hundred members and friends of the school enjoyed an excellent dinner, and will long remember the day as one of the bright spots in their lives. Among those who joined the merry-makers in the afternoon were Charles Lawyer and family of near McConnells burg. William A. Vallance, that veteran horse-shoe pitcher, was giving our young champions points on the game, and entered into the sport with as keen enjoy ment as any of his young compet itors. Kline's to John Sharp's, this week.
