while here conveyed the title of his

Air. George Eddy.
Mr. George Kiess of Sonestown
•was at the county seat Tuesday

man have opened dressmaking
rooms in Philadelphia. The latter
has been sewing there the past

Mr. Meylert Armstrong, the
multi-millioniare paper manufac
turer of New York, and his broth
er A. T. Armstrong, of Sones
town, were transacting legal busi
ness at the ollice of Attorney E. J.
Mullen, on Monday.
An announcement is made by
order of the State commissioner of
forestry that will enterest rural

The Williamsport Sun in a recent
issue gave an extended account of
coal having been found at Kingilale.
Some very elaborate predictions
were made as well as many fictic
ious statements concerning the
amount and grade of the coal and
ores found there. A company of
vicinity farmers have for some time
past been prospecting and drilling
along the creek bed of.the Loyal
sock at Ringdale. Those at work
on the job are extremely reticent
as to the fruits of their labor and
at the end of each day their secrets
and coal, if they have any, always
go with them to their homes. In
the event of coal actually being
found at Ringdale, it would prove
a very expensive vein to operate as
no drainage is afforded and the
coal would be lifted through a shaft
of great depth. Parties who
actually possess inside information
of the results obtained from pros
pecting ?,t Ringdale are emphatic
in their denial of the Sun's asser
tion and say the article has no
semblance of truth.
