| Mr. Latsbaw was pastor of the
M* E. Church here thirteen years
ago. He was then in poor health.
Three years ago he bought a home
in Pine Bluff, N. C.. in hopes that
the rare air and balmy pines would
stay the progress of disease but
this hope was not realized.
He was brought North on the

He is survived by his widow and

The entertainment given at the
new school house hall on Monday
evening was a splendid success in
every respect. The music, tableaux,
pantomimes, and readings were of a
high order of excellence and were
fully appreciated by an audiance
that completely tilled the hall.
Space prevents our making special
mention ot the individual perform
ers but all acquitted themselves most
creditably. The hall is admirably
adapted for entertainments of this
kind. Financially the entertain
ment exceeded all expectations, the
.receipts being over SOO. This will
pay the balance due on the piano
and leave enough to properly fix up
the stage, (hie pleasant feature of
the occasion was a gift of n-"> from
the National Protective Association
of Williamsport, with the compli
ments of J. Harry Spencer, General
manager. This gift is greatly
appreciated as is also _o ( ne of 8">.00
