A series of four experiments look ing toward eradication of the San Jose scale and other insects, pests and plant diseases in Pennsylvania is about to be undertaken by the State under the law passed by the last Legislature, which appropriate $30,000 yearly for the work. Probably the most important ex periment is that with San Jose scale in orchards. This is to be conduct ed in Bedford county by R. F. Lee trained in the work at the Agricult ural Department of Pennsylvania State College.
