Heim is at tending the Diocesan Convention which ineetsjat Lancaster, this week. There will be no service, therefore, in the Episcopal church next Sun day. It is rumored that the old com pany store building at Berniee lias been rented by Scran ton parties and machinery for the manufacture of silk will be installed as soon as the necessary changes can be made on the building. Joseph Thomson, formerly of Berniee, was struck by a train at Morris Park L. I.and fataly injured Wednesday, lie died in the hospit al an hour after the accident. Mr. Thomson had many warm friends | in Sullivan county who regret to ; learn of his untimely death.
