Scouten claims he Is not a political failure because Judge Ingham carri ed Sullivan county in 1884 by 415 majority. Scouten was in 1884 the leading Democrat in the tight against Judge lngliam. True, Scouten got j a terrible licking that year, but the Democrats carried the county on national, state and county ticket ami Scouten was not chairman, he was only fighting Judge Ingham. Where he led the tkrht he was licked out of sight, where he did not lead the ticket won, This year he was Chairman, he had the whole matter in his hands, the Judge money, the Congress money and the county ticket money. Yet he has lost the whole thing. ITe is worse than the young doctor in the confinement case who congratulated himself that although both the mother and child were dead yet he pulled the old man through. Scouten hat lost the old man too. Jurymen drawn for December term, commencing Monday 12, are as follows: Grand Jurors.
