Boyce, a German grocer at Closhen, j
Intl., has made a (ad of saving pennies
for the last 20 years. The quantity
became so great that Boyce had no
safe place in which to keep them, and
he has deposited them in a bank.
There were 19.700 pennies in the ac
cumulation. and the bulk of copper
was so heavy thai he had to fake it to
the hank on a dray.

Seven Dead In London Fire.
London. April 21. —A fire broke out
at midnight Saturday night in Hack
ney. a popular suburb of London, in a
printer's warehouse, three stories
high, the top floor of which was used
for living rooms. A dozen fire engines
and trucks arrived promptly at the
ecene, hut the flames were of over
mastering power, and it was impossi
ble to eiter the building. When the
flames were finally under control the
charred bodies of a man, two women
and four children were found.
Five Killed By Excursion Train.
Bolivar. Tenn., April 21. —At Loone,
neven miles north of here, yesterday
Oolph Irwin, Mrs. Dolph Irwin. George
Murley and Mrs. George Murley were
Killed and Sarah Irwin fatally hurt by
an Illinois Central excursion train. The
party were in a wagon and attempted
:o cross the tracks just south of the
lepot. when the train struck the ve
hicle, demolishing it.

A General Jail Delivery.
Roanoke. Va., April I!'.— There was
a general jail delivery at Princeton.
W. Va.. Thursday night, and several
prisoners who had been sentenced t;>
the penitentiary and were awaiting
guards to come for them, got away.

torious Virginia and West Virginia
jail breaker, laid the plans for the
general delivery. Kowze led the way.
