For years they fought :i grand tight for Hie home market as against unrestricted foreign competition. The gaining of new foreign markets was the natural and logical outcome of Protection of the home market. Defenders of American labor and industry iu Ponn aylvauia and elsewhere throughout lliU country have crossed the bridge which spa the gulf between had times and good times.
