Grape fruit has always been grown in southern California, but only lately has there been any demand for it. It is practically a new luxury. But prices are high, the consumption is large and many people are therefore going into the business. A man named McGin nis, near Pasadena, has twelve trees from which he shipped last year fifty nine boxes of grape fruit that him an average of $5 a box. Thus fai the shipments of grape fruit from this part of the country have been furnished from a lew scattering trees.
