Guy of I'ernicc is a candi date for delegate to the Republican State Convention. Since Bernioe has never received a nomination at the hands of the Sullivan county Republican party, nor represented the party in a State convenliou, it is fair to presume that there will bo no objections to his eaudidacy in the Republican convention. Did you see the sleighing party from Bernice, Wednesday night Feb. 12? The young men could not treat the .youiij; ladies, so one of the young ladies presented the young men with a pack of salcratus. This so mixed up the party that one gent and his girl lost their way. Some were not able togo to work the next morning and one cut liiu foot, it would seein that tho young men had better stay at home or else for protection take their mother's with them the next time. We wonder what is wrong with the young man and his host girl. He has quit going to Satterficld. The sleighing is good, but very cold.
