Dr. Randall is suflering with an
abscess oil his face. At this date he
is reported on the improving list.
E. I. Sturdevant made a business
trip to the county seat, Monday.
Ha speaks of the new courthouse
iu the highest praise.
D. T. Huekell Esq, was present
at the State Agricultural meeting
held in Harrisburg last vreek. He
rsports an interesting meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. Perry Ben field and
daughter, were visiting friends in
Columbia county List week. They
returned homo on Saturday evening
and report 9 good time.
Joseph Mullen, ugod 81 year?, of
Picture Rock*, formerly a resident
of Klkland, died at his daughter's
h.omo in Picture Rocks on Ktidny,
Jap, 25th. Funeral services were
held iu Forksvillo on Monday at
1 o'clock in the M. E. church. In
terment in Elkland.
Rev. P. It. Pitman of Monroetoii,
will deliver and address on Odd
Fellowship in the M. E. church at
Forksrillo, on Friday evening, Feb.
Ist, 189??. A general invitation i*
extended. An outline history of
the Sullivan lodge will be recited l>y
a committee appointed for that pnr»
pose. This meeting bids fair to be
interesting as well as instructive.
Mr. and lira. Jacob Snyder while
visiting with Muncy friends recently,
met with n serious accident. The
horse driven by Mr, Snyder took!
fright at an avalanche of snow falling
l'roiu a house roof and ran away.
The horse became unmanageable and
ran against a hitching post throw
ing the occupants out injuring the
Mrs. quite seriously. At present
she is improving but unable to be
brought home. Mr. Snyder return*
cd home on Saturday the 19ih.

M. E. Middaugh's horse ran away
last. Thursday, doing no damage;
only frightening some women pretty
badly. It ran over two miles before
it was captured.
The I.adies Aid will give a sup
per ou the 15th of Febiuary for tbe
benefit of the church. Come one

good supper wt hard time prices.
Fifteen cents a piece or thirty cents
