Some time ago Max Levinton, a representative of the Elmira Shirt Manufacturing Company came to Sayre for the purpose of looking cver the town. After talking with several business men he concluded that this would be an excellent place in which to locate, Accord- ingly Le entered into an agreement by which the company secures possession of the lower floor and basement of the building mention- ed above, The company have been in buss iness in E'mira for several years but recently the plant at that place has been unable to fill the orders, and it was 4-termined to establish a branch of the industry in some place where operators could be secured. Thesplant will start with about fifty hands and this number will be increased from time to time. The procu:t will be of a high char- acter, requiring the installing of up to date machinery.
