The plays are excellent, the scenery plentiful and the play~ ers good. In “An Orphan's Prayer,” a pastoral drama the theme of which is surpassingly beautiful, the scenery is so true to Sature that tears of tender recollec- n Gill’ the eyes of each beholder. In “White Slaves of Egypt,” a story of the slaves of the orient, the palace of the Khedive with its gorgeous castern celoring, the oriental costuming, the great desert scene, the battleship Brooklyn dur- ing a storm at sea, are admirably set forth, Queen of the secret ser- vice has for its setting the plains of Arizona and the picturesque wildness of the mountains of Co's orado, In the third act of this great play a robbers’ camp is shown and the enchanting loveli- gess of a Colorado night is ex- quisitely pictured in moonlight effects. This is a grand scene. Some of the scenes in “Young King Brady Detective” take one into the busiest portion of New York city. This play has an intri- cate plot and is one of the greatest detective plays ever written. “A Drunkard’s Daughter’ has magnifi cent scenic equipment, as have “A Woman's Worst Enemy" and “The Wayward Child.” “While Frisco Was Burning" is a spectac ular treat. The earthquake scene is very thrilling. The falling build- ings, the lurid fire licking about the ruins, the sight of the homeless long remembered. There is a pa- thetic story to this play and one follows the fortunes of the unfortu- nate characters with human heart interest. There is a splendid vaude- ville program- and a change of specialties nightly, Ladies Monday night 15 cents. LOOMIS OPERA HOUSE SATURDAY, SEPT. 15. 24th Semi-Apgnual Tour LYMAN H.
