They have not lived together for a long time, and when they did live under the same roof it was perpetual war- fare. It seems that they have had several fichts and much trouble at various times. Last Saturday night he went to the house where his wife lives, and it seems that he considered the commissary, the most vulnerable point of attack, for he proceeded to pull up all the vegetables that were growing in the garden, and then proceeded to raise a disturbance about the house. A warrant was secured for his ar rest and he was taken into custody. He was brought before Justice Carey, who held him for surety of the peace, and as he was unable to furnish bail he was placed in the custody of his attorney, A L Laws, until g o'clock this morning. The Justice was sick this morning and did not reach his office until shortly after 9 He found that Rolls and his lawyer had been there exactly at 9 and not finding him there Rolls had gone to Owego. The district attorney has several other matters that he wishes to settle with Rolls when he again returns. When near the borough line a street car passed and the horse shied off to one side of the road and jammed the wagon against a telephone pole. In pulling the horse back into the road he jerked him around so quickly that the wagon cramped too close, overturning it. One wheel was smashed and the occu- pants of the wagon were thrown into the road. Neither was hurt to any extent, however, although they were both covered with a thick layer of dust. The horse ran a short distance down the road but was Soon caught. The livery was communicated with by telephone and another rig was brought down in which the couple proceeded on their journey, while the broken outfit was taken back to Waverly. The boat was christened yester- day, but none of those assisting would reveal with what substance the ceremony was performed. Admiral Dick Robinson pave his crew shore leave for the night, with orders té report and weigh anchor at four am.
