SALISBURY, England, July 17.—The

wreck of the Plymouth steamer express
July 1, whereby twenty-seven lives

The case of Patchen vs. Parsons
which was brought before Justice
Hoagland, has been settled. The
action arose out of some stock
that the defendant gave the plain-
tiff for an advance of $42, and that
was alleged to be valueless, The
defendant paid the amount that
was advanced.
EASTERN STAR EXCURSION
Waverly—In spite ot the in-
clement weather about 250 people
