He was a blacksmith and was well known in Waverly, where he formerly lived, and at Sayre where he has worked in the Lehigh shops. The stick flew out of the lathe, and his arm came in con- tact with the dog which penetrated his arm. The belt slipped off and saved him from what might have been a serious accident.
