The “circus” or vaudeville show
which has been occupying the vas
cant lot on lower Desmond street
for the past two days, pulled up
stakes last night and silently de-
parted. The joy of the kids is at
an end.
“Master and Man," one of the
best of the old time melodramas,
will be revived at the park tomor~

a director fails to attend two meet-
ings of the board without reason-
able excuse his office shall be de
clared vacant by the board. It ap
peared last night that Mr. Adam
during the past six months has
failed to attend any of the meetings
so the board took action last might
and removed him from office

The board also elected all the
old teachers who had made apphi
cations for positions for the next
school year. Mafly of them asked
for increase in salary and in some
instances the increase was granted

Recently Chester Lyman, a Le

was promoted to a run on the
Black Diamond Yesterday after

ding took place at noon today at

their daughter, Edna J, was mar-
