The marriage of John M. Lee
and Miss Mary Alice Fisth oc-
curred in New York city on June

resident of Sayre, having been em
ployed here by the Lehigh asa

New York's most estimable young

The kindergarten that has been
conducted by Miss Mary Warner
in the Vaughn block during the
last year, held its closing session
today. Miss Warner has accepted
a position elsewhere and will not
open the kindergarten next year

A Sayre citizen said yesterday
that the plan of each property
owner removing the stones from
the street in front of his residence
would be an excellent one and that
he would agree to it provided the
services of the street commissioner

The local order of Odd Fellows
held a meeting last night and con.
ferred the initiatory degree upon
three candidates. June 24 was
named as the date for holding the
memorial services, and as the
cemetery association has refused to
allow services of this character to
be held in the Tioga Point cenie-
tery, they will probably be held on
the hospital park. An invitation
from the Waverly lodge to attend |
the memorial services to be held |
in that place on the 17th of this
month, was accepted
PRINTER KILLED
Leo Cushiog, 18 years old, was
fatally injured in the office of the
Morning Times at Hornell yester- |
day morning. While the big du-|
plex press was in motion, Cushing,
contrary to the rules, opened a trap
door and went underncath the
press. His head was caught be-
tween the bed of the press and the |
rollers, and his neck was instantly
broken. The deceased was 18
years old, and why he went under
the press will never be known.
