Mr. Morris, who is a man over 70 years of age, had been to Waverly and was on his way home. He hada spirited young horse and was driving along through the nar- rows this side of Williwana, where the road is only wide enough for two wagons to pass when he saw a large automobile approaching it at a high rate of speed. He motioned to the occupants of the car to stop but they paid no attention. The horse became badly frightened and the machine struck the horse, knocking him down, and smashing the wagon. Mr. Morris was thrown to the ground and received some bad bruises and cuts. The occu pants of the machine were badly frightened and wanted to settle on the spot. They handed $25 to the injured man, who was dazed, and sped on their way. The g25 will not cover the damage suffered.
