SLIGHT BLAZE
Athens—This morning at about
seven o'clock as Edgar Page was
passing the millinery store of Mrs.
J. A. Gould, a boy raised the alarm
of fire. He rushed in and found a
box back of the small heating stove
burning which he soon put out.
Miss Gould says that Mrs. Gould's
father built the fire in the stove
and might have carelessly threw
the lighted match in the box which
was filled with pieces of velvet and
other combustibles. The baseboard
was pretty well singed but no
material damage was done.
