Tucker, is also chief of the Waver- ly fire department and an enthusi- astic fireman. He has watched the erection throughout with great interest, and he is in a large meas- ure responsible for the success of the enterprise. The building is complete in every detail, and cost less than $5000 The entire building is finished with Georgia pine, except the floors, which are of hard maple. The truck room is large and com- modious and well lighted by large plate glass windows. The service truck will stand directly in front of the large double doors, which. when they swing open at night automatically turn on the electric lights in the truck room. Besides the truck room down stairs there is- a large room, which will be used as.a reading room. The meeting room occu- pies the front of the second story, and back of that is the club room in which a pool and billiard table will be installed. There is also a bath room, a toilet room and a lavatory on the second floor. A fire bell has been placed in the tower and will be connected with the Bell telephone office so that it will ring whenever an alarm is sounded at the town hall.
