He was in an ugly mood this
morning and demanded a trial,
claiming that he was not guilty.
When his wife and two sons ap
peared however, and he heard
what they were prepared to swear
to, he concluded that he was not
entirely blameless and plead guilty.
He was given three months and
will abide at the county jail for
that length of time.

MRS. EMELINE HILL
Athens—Mrs. Emeline Hill died
at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
W. C. Parks, North Elmira street,
yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock,
aged 66 years. She had lived in
Ulster all her life until the past
five months which were spent in
Athens. The funeral will be held
from the Methodist church in
Ulster Sunday at 1 p. m. Rogers
