SPECIAL SERVICES | AT BAPTIST CHURCH There will be two special serv ices held this week at the Baptist church. The first will be held%his evening at which time the pastor will speak of the claim of the church upon the christian. - All who have expressed a pref- erence for, or may desire to unite with the Baptist church are urgent- ly requested to be present tonight, and a cordial invitation is extended to everybody. The next service will be held on Tuesday evening at which time Rev. Bingham will present the subject “The Christian and his Habits.” JUBILEE CELEBRATES CLOSE OF MEETINGS The union services at the taber- nicle came to a close last evening, when a large audience came to gether. Brief addresses were made by the pastors of the churches that have been concerned in the taber- nacle work, after which the people were given an opportunity to ex- press gratitude for the beneficent results of the meetings. About 200 persons in the participated thanksgiving service. The afternoon mass meeting for men was well attended. Dr. War- ner gave a powerful address from the theme: “The Power of Christ to Save Men Through and Through.” ——— A A WRECK ONS. &. Y. A freight train on the Susque- hanny & New York railroad, run- ning from Ellentown to Ralston, was wrecked on Saturday evening, the breaking down of the engine allowing the train to get beyond control of the engineer. Nine cars went over the bank and were so badly smashed that several were useless and will have to be burned. The engine was stopped at Cran- town. VIGOROUS CAMPAIGN There will be meetings at the Presbyterian church this evening and Thursday evening for the pur- pose of following up the campaign carried on at the Gospel Taber- nacle.
