As a result of the North Towanda revival

The School Department decides that direc
tors mid teachers are not to make coutracts
with a view to evading the law relative to
granting teachers' pay for time attending the
County Institute.
We are requested by the Secretary to state
that the next meeting of the Benevolent So
ciety will be held the first Wednesday in Jan
uary.

ting the Garfield Memorial Elm were awarded
medals Saturday afternoon by the Sayre Ar'
bor Association. The medal which is of sil
ver has a representation of GARFIELD upon
one side and of LINCOLN upon the other, and
was coined at the mint expressly for this
puf| ose. There were about ninety children
who took part in the planting and who receiv
ed }• medal. An interesting address was de

blessings of God on His Church and His
Word.
THURSDAY, January s.—Prayer for the
young and all agencies for Christian training.
