CALKINS' EMBROCATING EMUL
SION.—J. F. Calkins has been traveling in
the interest of Dr. G. L. Stevens, of the city of
Cleveland, Ohio, and in the past three years has vis
itinl all the cities and principal towns of our State.
His business has brought him in acquaintance with
many of the most eminent and talented Physicians
in the State, and in his intercourse with them has
gathered a number of valuable prescriptions from
which lie has compounded an article lie calls Calk
kins' Embrocating Emulsion, used as a lotion.
Many of the citizens of Towanda and surrounding
towns by its use are recommending It as a valuable
treatment for Rheumatism, Neuralgia, local and
chronic pains, back, head or tooth ache, crick in
neck or back, sprains, bruises, sore t'hroat, quinsy,
burns, &c. Price 25 cents per bottle. Druggists
supplied on liberal terms.
A gentleman in town says, it is the best thing for
burns 1 ever had in my house.
A lady in Wilksbarre was cured of quinsy in its
first stage* by it when her physician said it could
not be stopped.
A young man in Monroe had a severe attack of
Pleurisy the Embrocating Emulsion stopped it at
once. A lady in East Troy says it cured her of In
flammatory Rheumatism with which she was afflic
ted for more than a year, having kept her bed for
weeks at a time.
A lady in Monroe Township sprained her ankle
so severely that she was obliged to keep her foot on
a pillow, by th e use of the Embrocating Emulsion
in three days she was doing her house work, and
was at once cured. An old citizen of Ithaca was
afflicted with a pain in his side. He could find
nothing to relieve him. He wns induced to use the
Embro ating Emulsion and writes : F. J. Calkins,
dear °: Two applications of the Embrocating
Emuisi n stopped the pain. I was afflicted with
Itchingpiles. It also stopped them. It is verv
valuable. Signed, P. Case.
One gentleman who was suffering with a severe
back ache caused by lying in bed for a long time
with sickness was effectually relieved by three ap
plications of the Embrocating Emulsion.
A lady in our Town who had used the article
said Mr. Calkins ought to make a fortune out of
the Embrocating Emulsion.
A number of Physicians are using it.
The names of all the above cases can be given
and many more cases added. Try it.

Thlß remedy is something new, both as t laut
and composition. This is one of the wonders of the
world. This Syrup, I claim, is better and more
effective than any other ever ofl'ered to ths wplo ef
America or any other country, and what 1 say cf
this I can prove, This Syrup, like the Pills, is
harmless and safe. It contains 110 opium or other
narcotic poison, like the most Syrup, and is not dis
agreeable to take. Any child will take it. And
will cure any and all inflammations arising frr
Cold. It is superior to all others in every respect
and especially for the following reasons :
Ist. It will cure Croup every time.
2d. It will cure Inflammation of the Langs.
3d. It will cure Quinsy.
•Ith It will cure Whooping Cough.
stli It will cure Bronchitis.
6tli It will cure Hoarseness.
7th It will cure Sore Throat.
Bth It will cure any Cold.
9tli It will cure Congestion of the Lungs.
10th It will cure any Cough.
11th It will cure Scarlet Fever.
12th. It is the best remedv that any one can take
for Consumption, and if taken in the first stage I
will guarantee a cure.
13th. It is perfectly safe for all ages as there is
nothing in its composition that can harm a child.
