Governor IIOYT has issued a proclamation
inviting the people of the Slate to as
semble in their respective houses of worship
to-day, between 10. a m.. to-day, and noon
to-morrow, to unite in prayer and supplica
tion to Almighty God for the restorati. n

voke divine aid and blessing upon the mil ion
and State.
Tn his message to the Governors of other
States, the Governor says: " I venture to
hope that vou may see your way clear to unite
with us in this appeal for divine mercy and

County Teachers' Association will be held at
New Albany, Sept. 9th and 10th insts.
Every effort is making to have this a pleas
ant as well as profitable meeting. We hope
