Dr. EVER of Waupaca, Wis., who accom
panied Mrs. I)r. MONTANYE from that place,
where she was stricken with an acute attack
of pneumonia, left yesterday morning for his
home, where his presence is required by his
patients, whom he left without a moment's
warning. The Doctor has been unremitting
in his attention, and has done everything that
medical skill could devise for the relief of
Mrs. 31., but we regret very much to state
that she is still in a critical condition.
This morning at 8 o'clock Miss MAME
LEWIS, daughter of Commissioners' Clerk

CHARLES OLMSTEAD, of Union, X. Y. The
ceremony is to take place at the home o
the bride's parents in Wysox, and
ltcv. W. 8. STKEN is to tie the knot. The
bride is an estimable vonng lady and we are
p'eased to learn that the young gentleman
who has been so fortunate as to win her
heart and hand, is every way worthy of such
a wife. He is a rising young architect, and
lias already acquired some fame in his pro
session. The happy pair start on their bridal

ey. Gov. IIOY I , the Rector of Christ Church,
invites his parishioners and all others who
may desire to do so. to meet in Christ Church
at 11 o'clock, and spend a season in prayer
and supplication for the recovery ofthe Pres

the service.
The two men. WHEELER and WARNER,
charged with beating and robbing the young
man near Hemlock Run, were yesterday com
mitted by-Justice HAI.L to await the action
of tne Grand Jury. The offense, highway
robbery, with which they arc charged, stands
next to murder and the justice had no author
ity to admit them to bail. As the trial can
not take place until December term, they will
have to remain in jail until that time.
We direct especial attention to the new ad
vertisement of our popular tailor, Mr. F. P.
GKAOY in to-day's paper. His large experience
and excellent taste have won for him a large
patronage. His new stock of cloths comprise
the best quality and most stylish grades in
the market. Fit INK does his own cutting and
superintends all work done in his shop, so
that good tits are guaranteed.
