Editors .—The strawberry and ice cream festival held by the Good Templars of North Towanda at their lodge room, on the eve of July 2d, proved to be one of the most pleasant and enjoyable af fairs of the season. The attendance was large and consisted of the elite and temperate of North Towanda society, besides many friends and visitors from neighboring towns and villages, who are interested in the good work of temperance; and to them is returned the many thanks of the members of North Towanda Lodge for their pleasant company and the willingness exhibited by them to help on a good cause. The attendants at the tables were both courteous and attentive.— The refreshments were of the best quality.— Those luscious strawberries, that delicious ice cream, the beautiful boquets, the many charming young ladies, the friendliness and good feeling that prevailed, cause us to say we are glad we were there. The receipts were sufficient to enable the lodge to pay for the organ they have lately purchased. VALENTINE.
