The new Postmaster at Leßaysvilfe, STE PHEN GORIIAM takes possession of the office to-morrow and Deputy Postmaster COOL BAUGH, of this place, will go over and in struct him in regard to making out reports etc. No member of the late Legislature made a better record, was better posted 011 the issues or spoke to better effect than our Senator, W. CARTER LEE, the only colored printer in this section, has gone to Washington in search of work and in hopes that the milder climate of that latitude may restore his im paired health. CARTER has worked on the REVIEW and we cheerfully bear testimony to his skill and correctness as a compositor, as well as to his Industrious, steady habits. We hope he may be successful in securing lucra tive employment, and realize the improve ment of health so much desired. Binghamton will celebrate the Fourth in a becoming maimer. The grangers of North Towanda enjoyed a pleasant picnic 011 Pond Hill yesterday. Tiie Naiads will take their "Jumper" and possibly their engine to Athens with them on the 4th. The mail contracts expire to-day. The new contractors will begin carrying the mails to morrow. The Knights of Honor will be glad to see all their friends at the entertainment in Mer cur Hall, this evening. HENRY MANN of Albany township, was Killed near Dushore on Monday, by the fall ing of a limb which struck him on the head, crushing his skull. A double-bitted axe that he was carrying on his shoulder was thrust against his neck, inflicting an uglv wound. The deceased was .'>o years old. GAYLORD DOHERTY, a laboring man re siding 011 Bridge street, who has been annoy ing respectable ladies and small girls by ma king indecent exposures of his person, was arrested by the police yesterday and ta ken before Justice HALL. He confessed his guilt and will be sentenced this morning.— The only adequate punishment for such an offense is that administered by the state of Delaware—the whipping post. The L. V. R.R. The disease is in its most virulent form. The Denver and Rio Grande Railroad is advertising in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales for ten thousand laborers to work in Colorado and Utah. The President leaves Washington to morrow to attend the commencement at Williams College, and will be gone about ten days, visiting other points in that section. Gallinga, the well-known correspond ent of the London Times , left England on Sunday for the purpose of penetrating Siberia and describing the condition of the exiles there. John Gyumber the sleeping Hungarian at the Lehigh county poor house spoke several times the other night after a si lence of a hundred and thirty-five days.
