The Wyalusing Excursion Association, rep ic ing tlie interests of both theVhurches and t!ie Cornet Band of Unit busy little town, propose to send an excursion to New York on the 21st of June. The great attractions afforded by the city and the places of resort immediately surrounding it at this time of the year, the energy, experience and former success with excursions. S. llinman is at Scrauton, in attendance of the Commandery of Sir Knights Templars of the northern part of the State. Recent compeliMon has nearly destroyed the sale of the Barclay and Bcrnice coal in Monroe. "Its of no use" to attempt compe tition with "Old Sol" "when lie gets his back up." He hot, one man's feet so that he spoiled his brains the other day. That was just to show off his cheap fuel. There was quite a scarcity of his fuel nearly the whole winter and spring. Rev. E. E. Morris, former pastor of the M. E. Church, is visiting in this place for a few days in the persons of his sons,wife,and little daughter. The Reverend will be here to oc cupy the pulpit two weeks from next Sabbath. He will draw a full house. N. D. P. WELL WORTH ITS PRICE.—The Illustrated Scientific News has again reached our edi torial table, and right glad we are to welcome the June number which is unusually full of handsome engravings and interesting and valuahle readings.
