P. POWELL, P. M. THE AMERICAN REVISED NEW TESTA MENT. —The Literary Revolution is prompt with its edition of the Revised Testament. The British monopolists "unchained" their edition on the morning of May 20th, and at 8:30 P. M. the same day, the American edition was all in type, and of the various editions of the entire Testament and the Gospels pub lished separately as many as 50,000 copies a day will be manufactured till the demand is met. The prices for the very handsome edit ions, in type nearly double the size of the British edition, are as follows: The New Testament complete for 10 cents. The Gospels complete for 7 cents. The Gospels separately, each for 2 cents. And in various forms and styles, up to full Turkey Morocco, gilt edges, for the new and old versions on pages facing for $1.50. This edition is for sale by the leading book sellers of the United States, or they will be sent by mail on receipt of price. Liberal terms are allowed to clubs. Address, Amer ican Book Exchange, 704 Broadway, N. Y. Monroe. Dr. llufus G. Mason from Duncan Falls, Ohio, was present at the marriage of his niece, Miss Lizzie Mullan; as also Dr. E. A. Mullan from Chicago, a brother of the bride. Their presence was manifested by magnifi cent presents in keeping with the interesting event. Mrs. D. J. Sweet is recovering finely from a severe turn of measles contracted for at Canton the other day. The little "todlin wee thing," Lee, is to be heard from in his turn of that spotted fever. The little boy will probably teeth and come out of these child's diseases all right, but then 1 can't promise for his mother if she picks up such little notions. On the evening of the2sth instant, an event occured in Monroe borough which your en terprising REVIEW had foreshadowed a few days before. Notwithstanding the timely warning previously given by your ever watchful sheet, the great calamity of life was allowed to come upon ail interesting couple of our fellow citizens, which spoiled a bateh ello.'s sweet celibacy entirely, and devoted one of our most promising young ladies to the toilsome task of wearing another name, and of looking in another direction for support and comfort, as long as that clock on the mantlepiece of her heart shall continue to tick the ebbing moments of time past the door of life's domicile. Or in other words, Guy Kellogg, Esq., and Miss Ella Walburn were duly married. Guy faced the music like a veteran in losses, and bid adieu to his bateh ellor free and easy life like a good soldicrthat is going into battle; while Ella, not outdone by her liege lord, scarce deigned to drop a tear on the shrine of all her liberties of un sullied girlhood. The evening shower furnished the tears for the occasion, and nature dressed in its best attire, acted as both groomsman and brides maid for the interesting occasion. I hesitate at this point, and will just say that Guy was dressed all right, and the bride (I am too modest for the times) was most splendidly attired. Presents were in full keeping with the times and friends were in attendance from Troy, Burlington, Wyalus ing, Towanda, and Monroe township. The parents of the parties witnessed the solemni ties of the hour, as well as the festivities of the transit. The evening train at Towanda defied all grief, and bore the parties toward Martha's Vineyard. That cake for the prin ter pleases. N. D. p. Free Ox Tail Soup Lunch at BROWN'S to night.
