The annual spring forest fires are now rag
ing in different parts of the county—Wilmot
and other townships, doing much damage to
logs, barks and standing timber. In times
like these the utmost precaution should be ex
ercised as regards the use of fire in the fields
or woods, for meadows and forests will burn
like powder, doing incalculable damage to
properly. The simple burning of a brush

truction of buildings and fences.
