DENIS, which occurred yesterday at noon in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity, corner 19th and Walnut streets, was among the most notable society events of the season. A large number of cards had been sent out, and the Church was thronged in every part with persons of high social position. The inclemency of the weather had no effect upon the stye of dress, for almost every lady wore an evening silk or satin, which rendered the scene one of uni form brilliancy and richness. Among those present were Judges TRUNKEY, and GREEN, BENJAMIN BULLOCK, Dr P. D. KEYSER, Colonel ESCHELMAN of Lancaster, and Gen. W. U. H. DAVIS of the Doyleston Democrat. As the organ pealed forth the march from Puratani the bridal partv, comprising nine teen persons, entered the church through the main door and passed up the centre aisle to the chancel. MERCUR, his best man. — The bride wore a rich dress of ilver cloth with princesse train, skirt and basque elabo rately trimmed with pearl beads. A long tulle veil attached to the hair with orange blossoms flowed gracefully over the robe, ex tending to the sweeping train below. The bridesmaids looked exceedingly picturesque in short dresses of camel's haircloth trimmed with swan's down and small bonnets of the lattor material. Each carried a basket of Jacqueminot and Marshal Neil roses. GOEF FRKY DENIS gave the bride away and Bishop WILLIAM BACON STEVENS performed the ceremony, assisted by Be v. W. Mendelssohn's Wedding March announced the conclusion of the nuptials, and upon de parting from the church the bridal party was driven to the residence of the bride's mother, No. 180") Vine street, where a reception was held from 2to 4 o'clock. The parlors were handsomely decorated with evergreens, snii lax and foliage plants, while the perfume of blooming flowers pervaded every portion of the interior.
