In the Florida esse the Committee still delays. The Ohio Temperance Convention was held Saturday at Alliance, '123 delegates present. Resolutions were odopted to sustain principles rather than party; re commending no separate Pronibition party, but to labor in caucuses and at the polls to secure sober men for oflicials. All negotiations for a compromise between the employers and employes are at an end for the pres ent. The proposed establishment of an Uui ted States Court in Indian Territory and the division of the land in severalty among the natives is being sharply opposed in Congress. It is said the proposition is looked upon as an initial movement to the final expulsion of the Indians from the Territory and will probably be defeated. Coal managers have resolved upon an other advance in coal. The Delaware & Hudson canal company issued a circular yesterday giving new quotations, which shows an advance in all grades, with the exception of stove, as follows: Furnace lump 10 cents, steamer lump and grate 30, egg 25, and chestl ut 5 cents per ton. The t Delaware, Lackawana and Western railroad company also issued circulars yesterday, the prices being the same as above except for furnace lump, which is advanced 30 cents per ton. The Rev. Dr. Rudder, for many years pastor of one of the wcalthiert Protestant Episopal churches in Philadelphia, died leaving his wife penniless. Previous to her marriage she was a clerk in the Post ofllce, and after her husband's death she expressed her intention of returning to that position. The congregation of the church, through their vestry, have induced her to relinquish this determination, and will create a fund out of which she will be provided for during the rest of her life.
