Henry Ilepper, the law partner of Sena tor Bayard, was found dead in bed at Wil mington Del., on Wednesdry morning. He is believed to have died of apoplexy during the uight. The ninety-sixth annual session of the Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church assembled in that city Wednesday. Bishop Andrews presided, assisted by Bishop Bowman. The con ference is very full, nearly all the members being present, and will continue in ses sion sevcal days. The Lehigh Valley Railroad Company have under consideration the construction in connection with the Pennsylvania Railroad, of a road from a point on the connecting railway at or near the Ridge Avenue station in Philadelphia, byway of Gcrmantowu, Chestnut Hill, Coi> shohoken and Norristowu to Bethlenern. The reports from Kansas City show that the white man is getting ready to break another solemn promise made to the Indian. The President's proclamation warning all persons against any invasion of the Indian Territory threatens to be of no more effect than a puff of wind. The people arc said to be determined to enter the Territory "at all hazards." The Secretary of the Interior had a con ference with Chief Ouray, the Uneompah gre, and White River Utea, at which the Indians virtually agreed to accept the terms of the government and cede their reservation as soon as a definite under standing is reached. The Secretary will submit the terms of the agreement to Congress. At a previous interview the Southern Ute delegation consented to give up their present reservation.
