1 Germany's Reported Acceptance of U.

the Fiuancial District—Trading Far
More Active Thau Usual
By .Associated Press,
New oYrk. March 3. —Wall Street—
Over night advices from auroad, par
ticularly Germany's reported accept
ance of this government's main pro
posals were favorably received in the
| financial district to-day, judging from
j early course of the market. Leading
shares made further fractional gains
I and some of the specialties increased
their recent advantage. Trading was
far i(iore active than usual, with indi- I
cations of a moderate investment de- j
I mand. Among the few features of weak-
I ne>s were Harvester Corporation pfd., \
which sold at 96, compared with 114 I
; at its previous sale somo weeks ago.
I Distillers bonds also were heavy.
Prices continued to rise during the |
i morning, but business became lighter f
| after tiie early demand had run its ;
I course, (iains in active stocks like the j
} coalers, Canadian Pacific, Northern Pa
| eifie, United States Steel and Ameri- |
I can Smelting were extended to a point j
I or beyond. Sales of cotton roads were j
i prominent, Southern Railway pfd., and i
; Atlantic Coast bine recovering part of j
their recent declines. Motor shares,
| American Can and more obscure special- j
I ties participated ;n the advance to nn ;
j appreciable extent. General Electric was
! among the few high class industrials to
ehow heaviness. Foreign bond selling
was increasingly extensive on conces
j sions.
