M. E. Sunday School Children's Choir
Organized To-day
Special Correspondence.
New Cumberland, Jan. 11. —A choir
composed of children of the M. E. Sun
day school was organized at 4 o'clock
this afternoon by F. N. Burns, who will
instruct the children. The choir will
assist in the evangelistic services, which
coinmonced yesterday aud will continue
two weeks.
Mrs. Seward Hutton, who resides on
a farm near this place, fell on the ice
when she was going to the 'barn to
milk and hurt her back so toadly that
she has been conlined to her bed ever
since.
Dr. .T. H. Young, who hns been
spending several weeks with his son.
William, in Philadelphia, has returned
home.
Chester Davis and D. C. Linebaugh
expect to erect several houses on Sixth
street in the spring.
Mrs. Cyrus Long, of Rutherford
Heights, visited relatives here on Sat
urday.
Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Jensen, who have
ibecn living at Bellavista for several
months, moved to New York ou Satur
day.
The Mission Band of St. Paul's Lu
theran church will meet fit the home of
'.Mrs. Harry Lingle on Friday evening,
January 17.
Mrs. Tillie Prowell, of Harrisburg, ■
called on Mrs. Missouri Keister's fam

Meyer Gross and Miss Rebecca Silver
Married Yesterday

Mec'hanicsburg, Jan. 11.—A large
ami 'brilliant wedding took place last
evening in Franklin hall. The con
tracting parties were Meyer Gross and
Miss Rotbecoa Silver. They were united
in marriage according to the Jewish
ceremony, the officiating clergyman be
ing Raibbi Charles M.uschnitzsky, of
Deggal Israel synagogue, Lancaster.
The bride wore a handsome <lres.s of
white satin and wore a tulle veil held
in place by orange blossoms. Among tlio
guests a number of very elaborate cos
tumes were seen. About two hundred
guests were present from Lancaster,
Philadelphia, 'Harriwburg, Carlisle, liovs
ville, New ISloon i fie 11!, IMecfianicsiburg
and other places. After the ceremony
a wedding feast was served in the an
nex, after which dancing was indulged
in. The groom is a son of (Mr. and Mrs.
X. Gross, of Poland, and the bride a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. !M. J. Silver,
Of Russia. The groom has been a citi
zen of this country for some time and
is now in business in Loysville. fho

easy victories, but to-morrow's game
