One of the latest Is set forth In the
following circular, received et few days

. ESTEEMED Sin :—Doing in want of a shrewd
and trustworthy agent in your locality, I have
seleeted you in psi:icy:no° to a nuaiter of others.
Yon wei e recommended to me by a traveling
agent tor a large commercial house in this city.
lle is a very intimate friend of mine, nnd has
acommilated en iLUITIOTIBO ilitl.llllo ill the I b usiness
kir which 1 desire your services. W era it not for
him, I should not repose such confidence in you.
Now to business: 1 hrive 011 hand a very large
quantity 0f,51,52 ..ic $5 U.S. Treat'y notes. (Queer.)
1 deal in nothing but first Cili ' ea work, and you
may depend upon it that every one of my bills
is as well executed, both in the engraving and
printing, as the bills which are issued. by the
Treasury Department; consequently, you run no
mote risk in passing them, than if you were pass
ing genuine money. My bills have been presen
ted to bank officiate, and they have almost inva
riably, pronoun - cod them genuine. • They fire
printed on first cleat bank note paper, are cor
rectly numbered, and the' printing cannot be ex
oeßed. I put the billS up in packages contain
ing different amounts. The price of a $5OO pack
age is $100; price of a $l,OOO package, is $200;
price of a $5,000
,package, is $l,OOO. But, in
order to give you a fair shOw at the start, I will
not require more than 6n - quarter of the money
down, cash, Therefore, l if you wish a $ . 5,000

money in advance, „Ii will send the stuff to you
by-express; and y'on can pay for it in the office , ,
when you,

a way that no one cart possibly rultspect the con

it. In conducting a
business of this. kind, we must use great caution.
Therefore, whenever you writo„' ,
to me, send your
letter by express instead 'of by mail; aild, to
avoid suspicion, Say that tho letter contains mo
ney—naming any small amount you like. You
.will not be suspected in sending me a letter by'
express.., I have no other agent anywhere near
you, auctit would be impossible for my name to
be knoMia to the express agent. Endeavor on all
occasions, to send communications by express,
even if you have to ride many miles to an ex
prestroffice. If you can spare time to
,come on,
do so; I woulcf, panoh prefer a personal interview.
Then you can examine everything to Your antis
faction, and be assured that all- my representa

en- opportunity to go through the stock and se
.lest whateVer denominationt snit you best, and
whatever quantity you can dispose of conveni•;

Therefore, when you come into my private office,
no one will Bream what is the nature of your bu
siness. You will be as safe as if you, viere going
into a iirst !class place on Broadway. Were it
otherwise, I should riot ask you %to Come on. I
wish one thing to be understood very distinctly;
that is. I will not deviate from the-terms I have
given you. I will net• give credit to a greater
extent than, three-fourths. I wish it to be dis
tinctly understood that I deal on the square, and
that I mean business. I have unbounded confi

you to keep - this matter.w profound secret. A
fortune is in store for both of 'us; and if yon can
