They seem contented and happy; and it must be a consolation to eve. ry taxpayer wh.s visits -this institution, to find Abe money appropriated to this object, turned to to good account. The old way of fanning out the poor from house to house, at the lowest price, was a barbarous prioiice, while, at the same time; it was mails more expensive than the present Isis tem:. These poorpeople now have Is riod home, andJr; of them arc contented in it. We are glad tolinow that many! who opposed tl:le Poor House system, at the first, aro now con vinced that it is the best that could have been adopted. It is indeed a credit to the humanity 9fTiogacounty, and we are glad to know that s,prejudice against dying out. , The drops on the farm are very good. The -farm itself hats been groan; improVed by the county. The purchase-was very opportune; for it.he farm has greatly increased in value. The railroad will pass close by; and thus one of the principal objections to building he house- there, has been quite unexpectedly re oved.
