Where hs'ilipthee of her birth ? •

fly the lifeis lied the drums,
Awl the grand jubilee t Waugh the earth
Or will she creep in,
(Like urig,inal sin,)
So quiet as not to alarm ua?
And banish our fears,
And dry up one tears,,
And otherwise soliten vend charm us'
Wilt she come in her might,
And "dare to do right," .
Protected by It cedones broad pinion's?
Will - she strike for her :Joy, .
In questions that vex -
And undermine Fashion's dominions? i
She will, some one asserle,
Be a Sampson of i , kirts,
Or a terrible femahi,9o l tall ;
With a tongue like a sword, •
(Though now, on our word. •
This bodes not the change (?) we desire.)
-
The cowing woman!
Him is she coining?
We would, know, %vim go forwera to meat her
, In wrath or in love,
To a bowl: or of dove,
Shall we make our hest \how when wo g reet her
If her ruotio be “peace,"
"Macy her tribe then increase,"
And we'll leave out the Ping and drumming;
Dot if noise rules the day, .
With no action to weigh,
We'd prefer to dispense with her coming.
