intum. The seriioes throughout were dee*
interesting. Rev. David Hell, of Brady's Bend,
delivered a 'most powerful and impressive sermon,
that was listened to, with the closest attention,
from Acts, 1: 8—" But ye shall receive power,
after thht the Holy Ghost is corde upon you ; and
ye shall he witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the ut
termost parts of the earth."
Rev. E. Ogden, of Westminster, delivered the
charges to the newly installed pastor, and people,
in a faithful, Christian, and fraternal manner.'
Never was it our privilege to see a congregation ex
tend a more hearty and cordial reception to a new
pastor; if we could judge from the delight - that
glowed on every countenance, and the whole
heartedness that was manifested, as old and
young gave him the "right hand in token of cor
dial reception and affectionate regard.'
It appeared, fromia public announcement from
the pulpit; that a perplexing difficulty, of Tong
standing in the olturch,'had been settled in the
most Christian and fraternal spirit, and' to the
entitle satisfaction of all concerned.,
Brother'Taylor, enters upon' his new field of la

Cabinet making is talked of as a very difficult
affair. There are many complications in the bus

Mr. R. J. Walker, and the star of the latter appears
