Term of Court convened last week .14onday,
at 2 o'clock p m. As the newly renovated
and finely decorated court room was filled
with partie3 fro:n all parts of the eount to
trans::ct business, there might be seen a look
of satisfaction on the faces of nearly all as
sembled It is indeed a fine room, with its
Enely finished walls, newly - painted wood
'work and new furniture. One look A the
improvements will banish all ideas of new
court buildings within the next decade, or,
at any rate, confine them to a small town sit-
I uated at the mouth of Crooked Creek.
The list of Grand Jurors was called, and
Austin Lathrop sworn hs Foreman. The
jurors were sworn, and were conducted to
their room by Constable Gideon Cook.
The charge, to the Grand Jury by his Honor
S 'F IVII6on, was dear and forcible, Wa3
general in its nature, and urged the. jury not
to listen to any thing that might he said out
side the jury room calculated to influence
'them in their-deliberations.
