other': A few ounces of common. sulphur
are burned on a pan of coals; live Or six times

time is well. Cared .for and blanketed. This
simple remedy never fails to cure in a"few
days." -
—The Harrisburg Telegraph states that
the following remedy is now used in that
city on horses affected with the prevailing
disease, and-from nppearanee has the desired
effect, viz : 4 ounces Spirits of hartshoin, 2
ounces tincture of armica, 11 pints of oil of
hemlock, .11 pints of alcohol..*_Bathe . neck
and under jaw. Also 10 drops of aconite on
the tongue three times a day.
he Coudersport Journal says that last
Sun ay week a man was found dead in-Stow
ardson township. Ho was. a German,- and
was traveling as a stranger 'l4l that section.
It appears ho passed through Germania, and
remained over night at the house of Mr.
Sandbaeh, a'few days before ho was fotihd
dead. From What we eanlearn he was, in
sane, and undoubtedly died from hunger and,
exposure.
